D-Von GET THE TABLES, Analysis Of The Return Of The Dudley Boyz

D-VON GET THE TABLES, The Dudley boyz are BACK! we will focus on the return of The tag team legends.

By David Travers –  @GuannacoTRAVERS

Since 1996 The Dudley Boyz have been on the tag team scene and being a dominant force racking up a whopping total of  25 tag team championships in such promotions as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Total Nonstop Action (TNA) to name a few of the companies that they have dominated as a tag team. They have had their fair share of memorable matches  such as the epic Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches with two other dominant tag teams in the WWE, Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz.
Bubba Ray made his return to WWE after spending 2 years on the indie circuit, he returned at the 2015 Royal Rumble, to standing ovation from the crowd. Bubba Ray was eliminated  by Bray Wyatt. D-Von joined Bubba Ray later on in their return to the company, he joined Bubba Ray in The Dudley Boyz official return to the WWE on the August 24th episode of Monday Night Raw as a face tag team where they attacked The New Day and delivered their signature move Dudley Death Drop to New Day member Xavier Woods  through a table.  They wrestled their first match back since July 2005, The Dudleyz took on The Ascension in a winning effort.  At WWE’s Pay-Per-View (PPV) Night Of Champions The Dudleyz  faced The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championship but, due to Xavier Woods getting involved in the match D-Von and Ray could only win the match via disqualification thus not winning the titles.
The Dudleyz did get another shot at the tag titles against The New Day  at October 3rd event WWE LIVE from  Madison Square Garden. Once again they were only able to win the match by disqualification. They are scheduled to face The New Day at the PPV Hell in a Cell  for the tag titles.
*What does the Dudley Boyz return to the WWE mean for the direction of  the tag team division?*
Both D-Von and Bubba Ray have apparently signed a multi-year deal with the company, so I can see them being around in the WWE after Mania 32.  With the Dudleyz being back in the company and their current feud with The New Day I can see The Dudleyz helping The New Day become stronger as a tag team. We all know D-Von and Bubba Ray are veterans of the squared  circle as a tag team.
This could be a similar situation that The Usos were in, when they were tag team champions, as they feuded with another veteran tag team The New Age Outlaws ( Road Dogg and Billy Gunn). The Dudleyz have not faced a tag team quite like The New Day in the sense that they are a young and hungry tag team on the rise and haven’t reached their peak as a tag team yet.
This is where I feel The Dudleyz would be a great help, as  they have 4 victories over New Day, (1 pin and 3 disqualification) whereas, New Day have a  six man tag match victories over The Dudleyz. I predict that the  Hell in a cell ppv match for the tag titles, will end in a New Day victory. As a way for The Dudleyz to help The New Day look stronger as a heel tag team.
Hopefully they can turn around the tag team division by their return giving WWE a nudge, to bring in more tag teams, in the way of fresh talent, an example are Blake and Murphy, The Vaudevillians and Enzo and Cassidy  all in NXT, or even try and bring back The World’s Greatest Tag Team ( Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Hass) as the tag team division currently is lacking in talent due to injures such as Jey Uso (shoulder) and Tyson Kidd (Neck) which has left their partners Jimmy Uso  to join the Smackdown commentary team and Cesaro pursuing a singles run.
The tag team division can only go up from here.
